Visa categories

A visa for a short business trip to Kyrgyzstan, negotiations, conferences, meetings, sports events or medical treatment at the invitation of an organisation. Valid for up to 90 calendar days, it does not allow work.

A free visa valid for up to 10 days for a foreigner who, because of a serious illness or critical health condition, cannot leave Kyrgyzstan on time on their own.

A visa valid for up to 10 days to leave Kyrgyzstan lawfully once the basis for your stay has ended or been breached: an overstay, a refused or cancelled document, the end of studies or of investment activity.

A visa for the spouse, children and dependent parents of a foreigner who is lawfully in Kyrgyzstan, on a visa, Unified Permit, residence permit, residence card or with kairylman status. Valid for up to 90 days.

A long-term visa for investors and heads of foreign investment companies: up to 5 years for an investment of 10 million soms or more and up to 10 years for 20 million soms or more.

The “Tuugandar” visa for visiting close relatives in Kyrgyzstan or for family reunification, valid for up to 90 calendar days.

A visa for missionaries travelling to Kyrgyzstan to cooperate with a religious organisation, with permission from the state body for religious affairs. Valid for up to 60 days.

A visa for taking part in negotiations, conferences, meetings and sports events organised by Kyrgyz state bodies or local governments. Valid for up to 1 year and can be extended.

A visa for studying in Kyrgyzstan, at a university, college or foundation programme. The initial term is up to 90 calendar days, after that, your stay is arranged for the period of study.

A visa for a tourist trip to Kyrgyzstan of up to 30 calendar days. It is applied for online through the e-visa portal, in advance, before entering the country.

A short visa for travelling through Kyrgyzstan to a third country, valid for up to 3 calendar days.

The “Meken” visa, valid for up to 1 year, for ethnic Kyrgyz and for anyone born in Kyrgyzstan or the Kirghiz SSR, to visit or return home, with the option of obtaining kairylman status.
