A bank certificate showing a balance of at least £5,000 and a bank statement for the last 3 months.

Can I travel for treatment with a companion?

Yes. The clinic’s letter must state that the patient needs a companion. The companion fills in a separate visa application form and attaches proof of their funding and documents proving the relationship with the patient.

Do I need a tuberculosis test?

The test is needed if you travel to the UK for more than 6 months. Citizens of Kyrgyzstan take it at an approved clinic in another country, usually Kazakhstan. For the medical visa a tuberculosis certificate is attached in any case, it is in the document list.

Can I work on a Standard Visitor visa?

No, you cannot take up employment. On this visa you can attend meetings, negotiations and conferences, and training within your own group of companies.
