What they ask at the Korean border

Immigration officers may hold a short oral interview and check that the purpose of your trip matches what you declared. If in doubt, they can refuse entry. Take with you:

A return ticket or a booking for the nearest departure date
An invitation from the Korean side: a company, clinic, university or private person
Your address in Korea: hotel, apartment, dormitory or the host’s address
Medical insurance for the whole trip. There is no free healthcare for foreigners in Korea, and treatment is expensive

On the immigration card, state the purpose of your visit and the host’s address and contacts. They must match the documents you show.

K-ETA

K-ETA is an electronic travel authorisation for Korea for citizens of visa-exempt countries. For citizens of Kyrgyzstan it does not replace a visa. If you need a K-ETA as a foreign national, we will fill in and submit the application. We quote the price at the consultation.
