The investment visa (type “I”) is issued to investors or heads of foreign investment companies who carry out investment activity in the Kyrgyz Republic and have submitted documents confirming their contribution to the economy.

The contribution must be made in money and material assets intended for one of these sectors:
The investor’s spouse, children under 18 and dependent parents receive a foreigner’s family visa (type “FF”) for the term of the investment visa and free of consular charges.
When the authorised body confirms that investment activity has ended, the basis for the visa lapses: the foreigner obtains an exit visa (type “L”) or another visa for a new purpose of stay.
Applications are filed through the Kyrgyz Republic’s official e-visa portal. The form is completed in English, and supporting documents must be in Kyrgyz or Russian or come with a translation into one of them.

Since 18 September 2026 the length of stay is calculated automatically from border-crossing data. Overstaying leads to a fine, and overstaying the visa-free period can bar your next visa-free entry.
