A free visa valid for up to 10 days for a foreigner who, because of a serious illness or critical health condition, cannot leave Kyrgyzstan on time on their own.
The emergency exit visa (type “E”) is issued free of charge in the event of a serious illness or critical health condition that prevents the applicant from leaving (travelling) independently. It is valid for up to 10 days.
What it is for, who can get it and what the limits are.
A foreigner is in Kyrgyzstan, their visa or visa-free period is running out, but their health prevents them from leaving on time: they are in hospital, flying is forbidden or they need accompanied transport. The emergency exit visa allows them to leave lawfully once their condition stabilises, without breaching the stay rules.
Two documents from the healthcare system are required:
The application is submitted to the consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. If the patient cannot attend, a relative or representative with a power of attorney files the documents. No fee is charged.
We check how many days of stay remain, advise on obtaining a correctly worded certificate and letter, prepare the application and file it if the patient cannot do so.
