Five mistakes that delay a Kyrgyz e-visa

Photo format, passport validity, entry point, dates and the invitation, what actually sends files back for correction.

A refusal is rare. A returned file is common, and it costs the same three to five working days a second time.

Almost every correction request traces back to one of five recurring issues below, and almost none of them require a lawyer to avoid, just a careful pass through the form before you submit it.

1. The photograph

Scans of printed photos, shadows on the background and a face that fills less than 70% of the frame are the most frequent reason for a correction request.

A plain light background, even lighting with no glasses glare, and a neutral expression taken specifically for the application, not cropped from a holiday photo, clears this step on the first pass almost every time.

2. Passport validity

Six months from the date of entry, not from the date of application. Passports that expire mid-trip are rejected outright.

Check the expiry date against your planned exit date, not your submission date, since a visa can be approved weeks before travel and a passport that looked fine at the time of application can fall short of the six-month margin by departure.

3. The entry point

The border crossing declared in the form has to match the one you actually use. Changing Manas for Torugart at the last minute is not a formality.

If an itinerary is still uncertain, it is safer to select the entry point most likely to be used and update it through the support channel if plans change, rather than guessing and hoping the discrepancy goes unnoticed.

4. Dates that do not add up

A 30-day visa with a 45-day itinerary, or an exit date before the entry date, both stop the file.

Double-check the visa category's maximum stay before entering your travel dates, and build in a couple of buffer days rather than dating the visa to the exact length of a still-flexible itinerary.

5. Missing supporting letters

Business and student categories need an invitation or a university letter attached from the start, adding it later restarts the clock.

Ask the inviting company or institution for the letter as early as possible, since it typically needs its own signature and stamp and cannot be produced the same day the application is filed.

A quick check before you submit

Re-read the form once against these five points specifically, rather than just proofreading it top to bottom: photo taken for this purpose, passport valid six months past the exit date, entry point matching the real plan, dates internally consistent, and any required letter attached. That single pass catches the overwhelming majority of what gets sent back.
